Redemption Racing Newsletter Moncton

The 8th round of the National Series was out East in Moncton, New Brunswick. We were blessed with clear, blue skies all day long. With the new changes to the track earlier in the week (with guidance from Redemption Racing’s Cade Clason), the track was better suited for the pros, which made for more passing opportunities and longer lap times.
At rider’s meeting devotion, I talked about how we act out faith through our circumstances.
The definition of Faith is: hope and belief in the things unseen.
Faith is not denying reality. It’s not pretending you don’t have a problem. Faith is not saying, “I’m happy” when you’re really grieving inside. That’s not faith; that is phoniness! Faith is facing the facts without being disheartened by them because you know God is greater than the problem.
Faith is facing reality without being discouraged by it. It’s the mind set of knowing that God can change a situation. You can build a life on faith, but not on fantasy.
The key to faith is to look beyond your circumstances: Corinthians 4:18-“We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen [the problem] is temporary, but what is unseen [God’s power] is eternal”.
If you look at the world for answers, you’re going to be distressed. There are problems everywhere! But if you look at Jesus Christ, he will bring you rest. It all depends on where you are focused.
Circumstances can be a lot like a mattress: Get on top of the circumstance, and you rest easy. Get underneath it, and you suffocate. When you start looking at your problem, you sink. But if you look at Jesus — toward your Deliverer rather than the difficulty — you’ll make it.
Romans 4:18 says, “Abraham, when hope was dead within him, went on hoping in faith …. He relied on the word of God” (The Bible).
The bible is our source of knowledge and wisdom. In today’s times, social media fills a lot of our time and we look to it sometimes to bring us happiness by seeing or reading something we like. Instead of turning to social media for help, instead of wasting our time, why don’t we turn to the source of our creator, and His wisdom given to us in the bible?
We need to read it. Study it. Memorize it. Think about it. Write it down and go over it. The Bible is full of promises. We need to rely on God’s Word and trust in its promises, and it will revive us emotionally. Nothing else is going to encourage us like the Bible. When we rely on the Word of God, we don’t panic because we’re reminded that, even though something is out of our control, it’s not out of God’s control.
